PRODUCT USE:
- Conditions of application / Implementation
Shake the product (without creating too much foam) before diluting and applying. Use pure or diluted depending on the support and preferably without rain for 24 hours before and after application.
After spraying, leave to act then scrub with a brush, rinse with a jet of water or let successive rains rinse your roof.
Can be used on all types of roofs (tiles, fiber cement, slate, etc.), facades (rendering, natural stones, etc.). If in doubt, test first.
Avoid applying the product to zinc, copper and raw aluminum elements as there is a risk of bleaching. Protect painted or fragile surfaces (woodwork, ironwork, etc.) well. To avoid projections on parts at risk, do not use in windy conditions, otherwise protect them well. To be used frost-free and below 30°C. Warning: The product makes surfaces slippery!
- Dilution/consumption
On thick or very wet deposits and/or for a very rapid action time, pure use is recommended. It can be used in dilution, the action time will just be lengthened. Shake lightly, without making the product too lather, before dilution and before each application.- Pure: 1L = approximately 10 m² (time before rinsing: 1 hour).
- Diluted (50%): 1L + 1L of water = approximately 20 m² (time before rinsing: 6 to 12 hours).
- Diluted (33%): 1L + 2L of water = approximately 30m² (time before rinsing: 3 to 4 days).
- Product action time
Without mechanical action (rinsing or brushing) on your part, the first visible results (lightening of the roof) will be seen after 1 to 2 months then you must wait between 6 and 9 months for optimal results.
- Is rinsing necessary? When ? How ?
The product must be left to act for at least 12 hours/24 hours without rain, then brush and rinse with a sprayer, water jet or a high pressure device set to medium pressure (around 60 bars). The product can be applied without rinsing, letting successive rains rinse your roof.
- Is the application of a water repellent necessary? When ? How ?
Applying a waterproofing water repellent after cleaning your roof is strongly recommended to maintain its benefits for longer.
It must be applied (at least 24 hours and at most 3 months) after cleaning and on a clean and dry surface, by spraying or roller (flat surface).
- Precaution to take
Carefully read the precautions for use of each product indicated on the labels. Wear appropriate equipment (gloves, shoes, protective glasses, clothing). It is imperative to respect the recommended dosages, the recommendations for each material and the application times to obtain an optimal result.
- Duration of product effectiveness
Our Bionetal Roof Cleaner has a visible reaction (browning) when used pure, after a few hours. Its duration of effectiveness is between 3 and 5 years, depending on the support, climatic conditions and environment; it can be extended by 4 to 5 years by using our Roofs and Facades Waterproofing (reference 4086).
- Validity date before/after opening
Before opening, you can keep our Roof Cleaner protected from frost, in a cool and sufficiently ventilated room for 2 years from the date of delivery.
After opening, you can keep the product under the same conditions as mentioned above for 1 year.
The product can however be used after this date, a reduction in effects may be observed (be sure to shake the product to mix it if it settles at the bottom of the container).
ENVIRONMENT :
- Le Is Bionetal roof cleaner a biocide? Is it dangerous for the environment?
Our Bionetal Roof Cleaner is not classified as Biocide.
The bases are 100% natural in origin and more than 95% biodegradable (at 60 days). None of the components or pictograms are classified “Dangerous for the environment and aquatic organisms”. - Should the surrounding vegetation be protected? Is it harmful?
We do not recommend splashing onto vegetation or any surface that does not require cleaning, treatment or protection. The product “yellows” the leaves of plants or shrubs, but does not “kill” them.
Avoid or divert for at least 2 rains, any spillage into cisterns, tanks and ornamental ponds. Do not discharge cleaning water directly into rivers and other bodies of water or fish ponds.
- Rainwater recovery / discharge of rainwater into cisterns, tanks, etc.
The product is alkaline. Please respect the dosages recommended on the label.
Tank/tank: To avoid an increase in the pH of the water, ensure that the volume of concentrated product used does not exceed 3% of the total volume of the tank/tank. For example, if you use 10 liters of concentrated product, the volume of water in the tank must be at least 300 liters (0,3 m3).
